Summer is winding down here in the U.S., but we’re not getting too blue just yet. Know why? The Digital PM Summit 2019 is coming up soon, and we’ll be heading to sunny Orlando, Florida! There is so much fun to be had while learning and networking at the Summit.
Here are just a few things to be stoked about…
Let the Good Times Roll
Official Digital PM Summit Social Event by Mailchimp
Let’s be honest, everyone who attends the Summit is looking to get away from work for a couple of days to learn, but also to make some new connections and have some fun. Get ready to meet fellow attendees, have some good food and drinks and...bowl!
That’s right, our official social event sponsored by Mailchimp will be at Splitsville Luxury Lanes in Disney Springs. Are you the DPM Kingpin? We’ll have to find out! After a day of learning, head over to Splitsville for some good fun and lively entertainment with fellow DPMs. Grab a bite or beverage, strike up conversation and let the good times roll.
Okay, this is the part where the learning is fun. Think about it: you’ll have so many opportunities to sit down with other DPMs to talk about your work, your challenges, your processes and so much more. Whether you’re sharing your best practices on managing stakeholders, managing projects with Jira, how you craft your own process, practicing PM at scale or any other topic in the interactive sessions, you’ll be able to take part in the conversation and get what you need out of it. Then, when you’re in the breakout discussion session each day, you’ll sit with folks who work in similar organizations to yours so you can share experiences, challenges and solutions.
No matter what you do, know that this is your opportunity to get the most out of the Summit. Who knows, maybe you’ll make connections that will change your Summit experience, and even your career. Now that sounds like fun!
Spending Time with DPM Friends
The Wyndham Lake Buena Vista is a resort of its own! When the sessions are over you can grab a towel and cold drink and chill in the pool. Or, take a short walk to Disney Springs—there’s everything from fine dining to shopping and live music, so there’s plenty to explore. Or, if you want to experience Disney at night, check out Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, which happens 7:00 PM–midnight at the Magic Kingdom.
If you can get an extra day off, join us on October 23 for an unofficial group outing to Epcot for the Food & Wine Festival! Just thinking about touring the countries in Epcot with a bunch of new and old friends sounds like our kind of fun! Let’s explore the rides and attractions, get some nerdy photos with the characters (or on the rides), and continue the conversations at the same time!
See You Real Soon!
We’re just over a month away from the Summit! We’re getting so excited, and hope you are too. Again, if you haven’t registered yet...what are you waiting for?? We’re looking at a sellout, so you’ll want to register soon. If you are gonna be there, isn’t a sellout awesome? Think about how you’re soon going to be in the company of the top DPMs from around the globe!
