Wherever you are and whatever you’re going through, remember that you aren’t alone. You are part of a community that cares about you and wants to help you overcome every obstacle. I’ve never felt that compassion as strongly as I did this past week. Over 200 of you reached out with ideas, resources, encouraging messages of gratitude and thoughtful questions asking how the Bureau team was doing.

Last night I sorted through all of the emails and direct messages and I found one common theme: support. A genuine desire to help the community, the industry, our clients, our teams and beyond through this time of change. An eagerness to provide better information on working from home, leading remotely, surviving financially, protecting our companies legally and maintaining our team’s health and wellness. 

Many of you have already created great resources based on your personal experiences. Others are working on new content right now. Some have been recommending resources they believe in. And so many of us still have questions keeping us up at night. So here’s what we’re going to do.

Resource Roundup: COVID-19 Edition

Right now there is so much new, uninformed and even spammy content circulating online that it’s been frustrating for many of us. So the first step in providing support will be collecting and curating resources that the Bureau community has endorsed. We are all leaders so let’s help the world cut through the crap and find good, actionable information.

Bureau Experts AMA

Even with all of the great resources available, there will be questions that don’t get answered. So let’s lean on those we learn from for guidance and direction. Next week, we’ll assemble a panel of subject matter experts on leadership, business development, working from home, finance, health and wellness and whoever else we need to get past some of the uncertainty we’re facing.

Pulse Surveys

There’s a comfort in hearing how everyone else is doing. Are others seeing a slow down? Am I the only one worried about projects being put on hold? What’s the general mood of the team? Next week, we’ll send out the first pulse survey to help you get a feel for what you’re experiencing and how it relates to others. We’ll send them out every two weeks, and each one will end with the opportunity for you to ask a question of the community.
