Operations Camp Utah

Find Fresh Ideas As You Escape to the Mountains

We’ve all been there—an unexpected conversation or offhand remark shakes the fog from our brains, and suddenly we know the right way to turn, and where to take an idea next. Sounding thoughts off others makes them better, and solutions are easier to find when they have space and support to grow.

Operations Camp is a three-day retreat for digital operators. Unplug, connect, share and solve problems together. Set in the heart of the Utah Rocky Mountains, there are no keynote speeches, no panels, no set agendas. It’s Operations unscripted, but structured—the perfect place to dig into your questions and uncover real, actionable takeaways.

Innovative ideas don’t come from training sessions and formal meetings. They show up in quiet moments, like a walk through the woods, or a chat among the wildflowers. Break away from your day-to-day and give challenges fresh air and a new environment to take shape.

  • Hotel accommodations for the nights of 6/10, 6/11, 6/12, 6/13
  • Welcome reception on 6/10
  • Three days of moderated discussions and breakouts covering a host of topics you determine
  • Continental breakfast and full lunch on 6/11 and 6/12
  • Closing dinner on 6/13

Why You Need to Be There

Creative Environments Feed Innovation. Ideas do better when they’re not forced or hunted down. Nurture solutions immersed in nature.

Time for Breadth & Depth. This camp adds an extra day to our two-day experience, so you have three full days to dig into issues and let breakthroughs unfold.

Operators, Unite. It’s tough to gain traction and champion the good of the team when your view is narrowed to your own set of experiences or the voices inside your own shop—or head. Hearing from others who do the same thing you do every day helps you sort through your ideas and challenges, and avoid costly missteps.

Optimize Q3 & Q4. June marks the midway point for the year. Start implementing takeaways as soon as you arrive back home, and fix the problems that are holding back your team and shop to end your year on a high note.

You Set the Agenda

bureau-digital-operations-camp.jpeg

Camps are all about the conversation. Everyone is a presenter, so rest assured, we’ll talk about the topics you care most about. The value lies in the perspectives you absorb from each attendee. Everyone comes from diverse backgrounds and industry niches, offering perspectives outside your immediate circle of influence.

Potential topics include:

  • Forecasting and resource planning
  • EOS, NPS, RFPs, SOWs…all the acronyms
  • Balancing team, shop and client priorities
  • Cultivating culture and communicating vision
  • Success metrics, financial and beyond
  • Cutting bad projects and recouping losses
  • Process optimization and tools
  • Figuring it all out—mastering areas you have zero experience in

...and whatever else seems right to you. The goal is to help you solve your challenges, gain inspiration and get back to work with a whole set of ideas to implement immediately.

Hearing from others that either validated what I was thinking—but I had no sounding board. Or being steered in a better direction from my initial thoughts. I loved the format of a smaller group with a moderator.
— Carla Hale, Director of Operations & Partner at The Scenery

The networking and making new friends was amazing. So refreshing. I loved the conversations during the sessions as well. It’s so nice to hear that we have similar experiences and we’re not crazy.
